Girl of the Moment: Abbey Lee Keershaw.

What is it with Girls from Melbourne being so damn gorgeous!? " she has an unsettling sense of being both angelic and sexy - it's no wonder she scored a Gucci catwalk exclusive." Said Vogue Australia fashion director Naomi Smith. She may be only 20, but she is certainly no newcomer to the fashion scene. She's had face-time in big ads by Chloe, Calvin Klein, D&G, Gucci and Gap. She's walked the runway for everything from Lacoste to Rodarte .She is, however, one of the most in-demand models of the moment, clocking in at 59 shows for spring/summer 09 alone .
There's something about this girl that is just so hard to look away from, I think it's her gorgeous big eyes. They're very enchanting and luminous.

Christina Dietze: "Rusko"

Christina Dietze looking gorgeous as per usual. The beautiful Australian model/ Cobra snake girl remains one of my all time favorite models. I just love her look, that girl can pull off anything.

Another Incredible Vintage Discovery: Check this out.

ATTENTION! Shop Nasty Gal Vintage now!
It's an amazing site I came across the other day, any Vintage lover at heart would appreciate it's amazing selection of clothing,
Whether it's this Eagle Crest Military Jacket(above-right),
the "Nina Lace party Dress"(above-left), or the yorkshire tie dress(above-top).
My favorite piece would have to be the "Bianca Bandage Dress"(below), It's fabulous.
I also wouldn't mind having a pair of those Leonard Paris
Stella Stud Sunglasses either.. good thing I don't have a credit card or it would be maxed out and I would be in-debt.

Amazing Vintage

Claudia Schiffer for Vogue UK, April 2009

I absolutely love this photo of Claudia in the latest issue of Vogue UK, She looks fierce. Not to mention she's 38, I hope that when I hit that age, I can manage to look half as hot. She is wearing a Lowew pilot cap and ripped Balmain jeans.

An art-filled day

I know these last few posts haven't really been about fashion, but I go back and forth. I have a passion for both and it's what I do best. So last Wednesday my Art class and I took a trip down to the Vancouver art Gallery and saw the abstract exhibit. It was marvelous, all of the urban art work and sculptures, the magnificent bright pigments of the colours, the animations, everything was spectacular. After the Art gallery, we went to Granville Island where we had lunch at the market, I had some very good sushi...We went into Kroma where the owner explained how they mix their pigments and what paint is essentially made of(rare gem stones!..but now a days it's all chemically made)And after that we met an artist who does mainly sculpture out of all wood, and then paints his pieces with a metallic finish(some of his art work is below). It was a fantastic day.

My new Obsession:

Audrey Kawasaki

I love her work, her pieces speak for themselves. The themes in Audrey Kawasaki's work are contradictions within themselves. Her work is both innocent and erotic. Each subject is attractive yet disturbing. Audrey's precise technical style is at once influenced by both manga comics and Art Nouveau. Her sharp graphic imagery is combined with the natural grain of the wood panels she paints on, bringing an unexpected warmth to enigmatic subject matter.

The figures she paints are seductive and contain an air of melancholy. They exist in their own sensually esoteric realm, yet at the same time present a sense of accessibility that draws the observer to them. These mysterious young women captivate with the direct stare of their bedroom eyes.
